If you want to learn how to play the electric guitar or plug your acoustic/electric guitar into something, you are going to need an electric guitar amplifier to project your music. Basically your electric guitar is not complete without an amp, if you don’t have one your electric guitar will not sound the way it is intended.
Something like the Fender Frontman 10G should work just fine for anyone just getting started to the highly experienced player.
Electric Guitar Amplifier Specification
The Frontman is rather small but packs a decent punch, at just 10 ¼ in x 5 ¾ in x 11 inches it is convenient to pack up and bring it with you when you travel. The amplifier itself only weighs eight and a half pounds which means in addition to being compact it is lightweight as far as amps go.
It has four knobs to adjust your sound as you play, gain, volume, treble, and bass. Also featured is the over-drive select switch, the aux port and your guitar plug port. It even has a ⅛ headphone jack port so you can practice without disrupting everyone around you.
The Fender Frontman 10G has a closed back allowing you to reach deeper bass notes. And, the 6 inch speaker it has sounds great when playing anything from heavy metal to the blues. Designed with the vintage look, this little amplifier is pretty solid. This doesn’t mean it is indestructible. But as long as you don’t full on drop it you shouldn’t have any problems. It features 4 rubber feet on the bottom to prevent it from sliding and rattling around. Just plug it into the wall, plug your guitar in and you are ready to play!
